FAQ

How much do I need to have to work with you (what’s your minimum)?

We have no minimum asset requirement. We believe that financial planning is for everyone, not just the wealthy. We want to help folks cultivate their best financial life, regardless of how much they have or where they are in life. Plus, we like variety!

What is a fiduciary and are you one?

The fiduciary standard of care requires that a financial adviser act solely in the client’s best interest when offering personalized financial advice. Not all financial service providers are beholden to the fiduciary standard. We are.

As CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professionals, we are required to adhere to the fiduciary standard and put client’s interests ahead of our own. And, honestly, this is why we’re here - we’re passionate about helping clients and always doing what’s in their best interest.

What is a CFP®?

The CFP® (CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™) certification is a voluntary certification that is known for its (1) high standard of professional and continuing education; (2) stringent code of conduct and standards of practice; and (3) ethical requirements that govern professional engagements with clients. – See more at the CFP Board website.

Do I have to come to your office / can i come to your office?

We love the relationships we have near and far and are very flexible when it comes to meeting with our clients. You are more than welcome at our office. We can also have a virtual meeting / video conference or phone call. It’s your call - you tell us what’s convenient and comfortable for you!

Tell me all about the fees - what, When, and how do I pay you?

We charge a flat dollar fee that is based on the services that we provide to you. We calculate the fee once we review your information and better understand where we can add value to your financial life. This is the only fee you pay to us. We are fee only, which means we do not earn any commissions from any products - no paid trips to the Bahamas either!

You can choose to pay the fee monthly or quarterly by check, bank draft, or directly from your investment account(s).
